The Continuing Legal Education committee hosted a highly informative seminar on Realtime transcripts and live streaming presented by Kim Neeson of Neeson & Associates. Her panel of experts included Lindsay Duprey and Sharon Giraud of Commonwealth Legal and Peter Goodale of Legal Video Services. The speakers presented a live demonstration on the use of real-time transcripts, technology which works similar to closed captioning on TV. Commonwealth Legal provided practical tips on synching real-time transcripts with Summation, a litigation support software. The program also included a brief presentation by Legal Video Services on how video testimony can be used for depositions (in the U.S.) and how it can be linked to transcripts in Summation.
