Highlights from her captioning experience include providing services to the Federal Government’s Task Force on Disability Issues, the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association, the Canadian Hearing Society, the Canadian Human Rights Commission, York University and the University of Toronto. Ms. Neeson was also privileged to accompany former Primer Minister Jean Chretien to the United Nations to provide captioning services at the presentation to Canada of the Franklin D. Roosevelt International Disability Award.
Ms. Neeson has served more than two terms as President of the Chartered Shorthand Reporters' Association (CSRAO). Her interest in court reporting issues resulted in her serving on the Ontario Government's Joint Committee on Court Reporting and the George Brown College Court Reporting Advisory Committee. Her articles have appeared in the Law Times (one of Canada's leading legal newspapers), Listen/Ecoute (a publication of the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association) and The Reporter (a publication of the CSRAO).
